Default ls2 into 07 4.8 rcsb

I think that I can swap in a 07 ls2 from a TBSS into my 07 rcsb 4.8. Will the 4l70 trans work from the TBSS and bolt in or do I need to find a 4l80? Believe that the 4l60 won't live long with 400 hp plus tune at some time.

It should swap right in. Maybe a few sensor plugs need changed. Im pretty sure the tbss tranny and yours are the same. I bet your truck weighs less than a tbss also.

your 60e is the same as the 70e just has a few harder parts and an extra speed sensor. *your 60e doesnt have that* there is no point in swapping the 70e in honestly. 400rwhp kills them too. save up for a built trans imho.

is the LS2 a 58x? i think the 07+ is a 58x but if its the early 07 i dont think it is. best way to tell is look at the front cover and see if there is a cam sensor in it. all the sensors will be the same.

Or if the crank sensor is white it is a 58x

Grey, white I'm half color blind it seems or Atleast that's what my wife keeps telling me. Either way if it doesn't have the black sensor then it is a 58 tooth reluctor engine.

I thought all LS2s were Gen IV engines and thus had the 58x reluctor wheel?

All LS2 are gen IV. The LS7 also is a gen IV, now that would be a awesome swap!
