Default LS2 Intake Swap

Can I go from my 5.3 truck intake to a LS2 intake? I know I need rail and injectors and water pump.

It will bolt right up. Like you said, water pump is the biggest interference. Maybe the water/steam x-over won't clear but that's an easy fix.

What makes you want to install this manifold?

Straight looks, I think the ls6 flows better but the ls2 is about 1/3 of the price. But I'm very limited with my knowledge of the subject.

As long as it has a cathedral port (LS2, LS6) it will bolt up fine.

I was trying to think of the alternator placement on mine and couldn't remember how close to the TB it is. I think on the 90mm one with the big IAC or TPS coming out the side it might not clear the alternator but the stock 87 is pretty compact...not sure though.

eh...the LS6 depending year is 3 bolt, but the one im seeing you do for "1/2 the price" is a 3 bolt which would be stupid to install on your truck.

So the LS2 intake is on, factory tb and water pump. I had to clearance the water pump neck just a bit. The alternator didnt need to be moved just the idler pulley. However with the alternator sitting up so high I did relocate it for looks.https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...1&d=1295193980
