Well I see headers here and headers there...but, where are you guys buying them from? What brand works best? I'm looking for a good deal too. Please advise.

Pacesetters probably the most popular brand here for the $$.
Tx Speed and Speed Eng. have good prices.

Use the search feature. There are tons of threads about headers. Pacesetters- relatively inexpensive, OBX- cheap but get the job done, Dynatechs- pricey but good quality, American Racing- pricey, but made of all american steel, claim to be the last header you would ever need to install.

Shorty headers don't produce many gains over stock manifolds. Long tubes will gain you from 15-30hp depending on the size of your engine and mods. Tuning after install is a must to see the full potential of the install.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm no stranger to headers but mainly deal with cars. I was just curious as to what kind of headers have worked best with the 5.3 truck. I'm kind of new to truck modifications so I don't necessarily know what to go with for this application. I know of all the brands listed above and have access to Jet-Hot at a very inexpensive price so chrome or ceramic coated doesn't really matter to me. I know a lot of LS-1 guys use Pacesetters but I couldn't really locate any for a 5.3 truck...I was looking for maybe a couple of websites? or stores? I'd appreciate any info I can get! Thanks again
