Long tube header question
#1
Does anyone know or use any collectors on their headers when installing them on their truck and i know i have a 3" collectors on the headers and do yall think that it would just think to get them from the auto parts store.

im talking about the flanges that some headers have to disconnect the headers incase of you need to work on the engine and have to remove the headers. The flanges are what im talkin about.

I went with a set of these v-bands... They are a little expensive but you never have to worry about them leaking

or
you can get a set of these 3-bolt flanges but they are prone to leaking....

I use band clamps!! tried the 3 hole flanges you posted, BAD IDEA. I didnt weld them up perfectly, but a few friends had them, and one bolt always found a way to come loose, and it was always the one thats next to impossible to get to, and it usually caused a gasket to blow before it could be fixed. IMO Id go with the V bands, or at least the band clamps
