IMO the only people who say don't fool with VVT don't understand it. Honda, BMW, and many other manufacturers have been using similar technology years to get wider power bands from small engines. It's a proven technology and theory.

I'll get off my my soapbox now....
I totally agree.... i cant find a reason why anyone would ever want to delete VVT the more im seeing. The L99 cars are killing the LS3 cars with VVT.. and its all beneficial with no negatives?

So what kind of RWHP would you "really" expect a 6.2 with headers and let say a TSP VVT 1 or VVT 2 to put down. On a stock converter, maybe 400 to 420?????

And with there cam what do I need? rocker arm, springs, push rods and a cam phaser.

Thats about right... expect around 490-500 fwhp... and 420 to the rear... Ive looked at the VVT1... the VVT2 would probably be too big and incredibly sluggish on a stock converter. You will need the cam, springs, pushrods, and phaser limiter.. they sell it as a package for 809.99 i believe. Personally im probably going to go the comp 402 route. Its not the biggest baddest boy, but its proven, and i like the fact i can run a stock converter and some 918s for many many reliable miles. Im a fan of small cams in trucks and tighter converters like 3200 and lower. But some insist in running 230s cams or larger in a 5.3 with a 4k converter No thanks

The main reason I want to keep the stock converter is I pull a 24' wake boat a couple times a week from early spring to late fall. So most important thing it has got to tow really well.

I would go comp 401, a friend has one in his 6.2.. lopes pretty good and lost NO bottom end and picked up 35hp at the rear tires.
