If I do delete vvt... I'm really liking the specs on that Tick Stock stall cam... it makes great numbers and the torque curve is nice! Very stock convertor friendly and still lopes pretty good.

No, it isn't. I deleted AFM and VVT.

The BTR Truck StIII is 218/224 .553/.553 113+3. There's a vid of my truck over in the thread talking about the BTR truck cams: https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...-531710/page5/

I love the stall, my wife drives the truck often and she's got a heavier foot than I do. Now if I could only get a trans that would stay together...

I prefer cathedral port especially in a pick up

Yep....cause this man knows what it takes to make torque lol.. I would take a bad *** set of cathedrals any day over square ports as well... but since my 6.2 has them I'll go with them. Cathedrals are far more efficient heads... hence why the square ports use some huge split cams with as much as 20 degrees.

this man is 100% correct, cathedrals make more over all power then square ports

my Ls3 shortblock is being paired with a set of trickflow as-cast 220s

In reality i dont see one of these cams vastly outperforming the others. As you will see all these cams have an intake duration from 214 to low 220s and exhaust duration is wide split to high 220s to low 230s.. the possibilities are endless lol but these are just the few im narrowed down so far.

If i keep VVT....
Comp 401 214/228 .559/.571 114°
Comp 402 218/232 .563/.575 114°
TSP VVT-1 wont release specs but ive heard its Stock stall friendly
GPI SS1 VVT similar to VVT-1 and stock stall friendly

If i Delete VVT
Tick Stock stall cam 219/231 .619/.598 115+5
Livernois 1c 218/229 .600/.600 117 (stealthy idle)
Vinci Torker II 214/ 228 .585/.585 115
I'm at the same crossroads. I have headers, intake, and a tune but want a better cam while retaining DD friendliness. My question is do I keep VVT or delete it? I'm really not sure.

I would probably keep vvt if I had a good tuner. I am nowhere near ready for that. Anyone know any tuners in middle Tennessee. I had a buddy that went to shortuned in KY and he really liked what he did with his.
