Looking at getting headers for my 2010 sivlerado 6.2

Gunna go with 1 7/8 headers and catted y pipe
May keep stock exhaust for now.

I'm leaning towards kooks
I want to hear your picks and y

Also I hear u guys talk about other brands
Obx, lpp, pacesetters,
Do those brands come with a y- pipe or header only

I do not want a header y pipe set up that I have to modify

Kooks or American Racing are basically the same design, and both have catted y-pipe options and come in 1 7/8" sizes. Quality is high but so is the price tag.

Dynatech also makes a longtube/catted y but I don't know the size of the primaries (guessing 1 3/4).

OBX, pacesetters and (I think) LPP are 1 3/4" and don't have catted y pipes.

Is your truck 2WD or 4?

So is mine and that's why I'm going with ARH. Allgonoshow on here has them and says they fit perfect.

I'm going to get new oem gaskets and manifold bolts to install on
New headers

 

You can re-use the oe gasket and bolts if you want.
I always do, with no issues.
If they fit as well as ARH's you will be happy.
That price is not bad either, for a full stainless kit.

 

I run the Pacesetters on mine. The Y pipe was a PITA with the 6l80e so I just modified it a little. I also modified it to have a 3.5" flange to mate up to the stock pipe. They fit just fine.

 

I have the ARH 1 7/8 headers and 3" ORY on my truck and the fit and finish on these is great. Bolted right up with no fitment issues. I wish that they had a ceramic coating though, especially in that price range.
The only issue that I have had is that one of the primary pipes on the driver's side comes REALLY close to the steering rod and if the engine idles rough (ie. a bad tune and bigger cam) it moves enough on the mounts that that pipe knocks against the steering rod. It's so annoying that I am considering taking my hammer and massaging the pipe a little. Other than that, it is amazing how well they fit, especially on the AWD trucks.
You will most definitely need a tune after the headers.
