yea its the 5.3 . I was looking at the VMAX and was set on ordering one...but I test drove the 5.3 today and with the Red Tag and Interest rates they have going on I was kind of wanting to go ahead and do something before that expired. I had planned on ordering the VMAX in January and hoped to get it around march when I paid my car off. But after driving this it got me thinking that this would be sufficient enough. I had originally planned on getting the VMAX to fix it up in to like an SS theme but I mean I was thinking I have an ss camaro so why do that, just wait and get a good truck and fix up the car a little more in the future.

And I know this is off subject but if I have to order a truck like I think I am....what's everyone's opinion on choosing b/w the 5.3 or VMAX...Is there a big difference in gas mileage?

its a truck... your driving something taht is the aerodynamic equivalent of a billboard...

there will be a lil difference in mileage... but most will depend on your right foot, and mor importantly your ability to control it.
