Your stock unit will not BUT, a lower from a 00-06 tahoe will.

Napa part number 2601528 will work with a lifetime warranty.

I called DJM earlier today, the told me part # K6541 which is from a NNBS suburban is the same found on DJM control arms.

I also asked him about people upgrading the ball joints to better ones. He said, "oh yeah, the "moog" its identical to the ones that are already on the DJM control arms. They're just more expensive, but identical. No better, no worse."

So I called my local O'Reily auto parts and confirmed it. They had the "moog" brand and the "cheap OEM" he said they are the same thing. Just price difference.
$75.99 for the Moog
$28.99 for the OEM/Cheap ones

To hell with stylin trucks and their "DJM direct replacement ball joints" lol

Do not listen to the guy at oreilys. That moog is 1000x better than that oem product. I work at advance so i know what products break and come back to us and what handles anything you can throw at it. Spend the extra cash for moog.

Just go to the store and say you want that part number, thats the moog part number. And finally Yes the djm balljoints suck.

If I was you I would just go ahead and replace them with MOOG balljoints. The stock djm ones suck and will most likely go out on you again. You'll thank yourself later trust me.

which is are suburban ball joints......
can you see the difference when they are side by side? or is the supposed difference internal?

There is a differance. The boots on the cheaper ones are too small. They do not seal properly. AND the guy at DJM is full of it if he says they use moog. They just use that part number as a replacement.

I pulled the lowers out of my DJM kit before I even installed it. I went with the NAPA balljoints since my work had an account there.

The 6541 moog part is for a 00-06 tahoe/suburban. NOT 07+.
