No more 6.0, which means I might finally be able to order a SLE 4x4 6.2 excab with 3.73s.

i noticed that also. 6.2 in an ext cab should be pretty quick.

6.2 should bolt right in as well, true its not factory but who keeps their truck stock on here anyways

Well that was the plan for the 07 but things got a bit complicated so figured I would wait for the 6 speed to hit and trade in, that way its just an engine swap, either way will cost $$$ but second plan is much easier and faster.

anything is possible, im one of the few 4.3->6.0 rcsb swaps that have been done tho they r getting more common.

Yes I know and overall not too bad but my truck has the fuel system the 6.2 doesn't like (there were two styles in 07 and 08) and it gets kinda odd (almost all the 09's have the new style fuel system), need modules and lots of wiring plus of course the drive train and mods to mount it (tranny crossmember, driveshaft), then you get into VIN's to make the options available and enable systems and then that shuts down other options so gets to be a real mess. By the time a guy is done, probably about same cost and certainly less headache just to trade in and do an engine swap. Probably more reliable too. If done right, wouldn't even be noticeable so might even keep some of the warranty intact??

Congrats on the 4.3 to 6.0L swap, thats a bit of a power bump...

link doesn't work, but i read 4.8 and 5.3 are all flex fuel and VVT equipped.

interesting....i was looking at the 2010 powertrain info and for the silverado/sierra 5.3...

315 hp @ 5400 rpm
335 lb-ft @ 4000 rpm

but on E85 they are rated at
326 hp @ 5300 rpm
348 lb-ft @ 4400 rpm
