Default First Oil change and I found something

I changed the oil for the first time today on my 07 with a 4.8L with 2800 miles on it. Took the oil plug out and there was all this green crap on it. It didnt smell like coolant, plus the coolant level hasnt changed since Ive had it. I heard that GM is putting oil dye in the motors from the factory. Is this true or do I have a problem????

Hopefully it is dye, because your coolant should be red/orange not green...

I have no clue what else it could be.

If I had to throw out a guess, I would say some kind of break-in fluid of some sort...

Hilarious!

I changed over to synthetic in mine at 1000miles and oil looked normal.

Ive talk to a few people, they said its most likely dye from the factory. Wish I could take a picture of my face when I look at the plug
