Brought the truck back to EPS today. Geoff corrected the surging by reseting the stall speed higher. He also said he only removed about 60% of the TM to avoid tearing up the stock tranny. I'm not familiar with the durabilty of the 4l60 but Geoff seems to think there's a chance it could get trashed if he turned TM off alltogether. I dont want to risk that just yet!

not to jinx you, but that tranny ain't gonna last long. only thing thats saving you right now is that extra cooler. i need to do one for mine. My tranny started shifting funny the other day, wouldn't come out of 2nd.

Typically on a stock tranny, you can remove all of the TM on the engine, and leave some degree of it in the tranny to avoid parts failure like you said. Justin at BB explained it basically like that.

the "Tranny Cooler" actually does nothing but keep the temp down. the parts inside that cant take the abuse cant be saved bc of the tranny cooler. therefore whenever it breaks, oh well let it ride. it's getting a 80e swap so the sooner the better IMHO. if it lasts till i get the 12.99 then fine, if not then it'll get the upgrade.

theres plenty of people that have 100k on their 60es and run 13s all day long.

it's all in what the owner of the truck wants. whats the point of a warrenty? they dont cover crap anyways.
