Engine noise, round three...
#41
This is a sad story. I one used to be a dealer tech and it was because of this bad business that I got fed up with dealerships and work at a independent shop. At big dealerships I would see time and time again that the warranty work would get pushed to the rookies that were fresh out of votech and the customer pay jobs were pushed to techs that had been there for years. In this situation it looks like that may have happened. Warranty flat rate time is a joke, the manufactuers put the warranty on these vehicles to appeal to the customer and when it breaks down, expects the tech to fix it in half the time that is called for and only get paid for that time. And that is the reason older techs get mad. So they push those jobs to the newer guys that don't know any better. Sorry for the rant, but after reading all of this situation, I can't help but to point this out. I have been to a couple of dealerships that work this way, not just GM either. Its the industry and I'm not blaming the techs, the manufactuers are causing this to happen by not willing to pay the techs a decent time to fix it right.
