Default Emergency need help today on efi or carbed

I have a 08 L92, that im swapping in a car. Now they have to combine the Lt1 and the L92 harness And im lookin at about $2,500+ dont think it will be more than 3k though. ? is it seems like alote of $, I never got into something like this before. But I was thinking about going carbed do to it being less $, just want to know if you think it is worth it. Any opinions, do these 6.2 like efi or carbs??? I see ppl run carbed setups just dont know if it is better than the efi.. Trust me Ilove the efi setup but just the cost seems pricey, I was also figureing that with that $ sell the 6.2 shortblock or longblock and pick up a 408+block with the money I have to spend+what I can have with the sale of the 6.2 juast I think it will carbed. I dont know what to here fellas Help me out with ideas... And power differences on these setups

If its a track car then carb it and be happy, but if its going to be a daily driver I would seriously consider the EFI just for the much better gas mileage and tuneability.

its more gonna be a streetcar, sometimes track car as well. But I do have a cam, headers, and do plan on sprayying it as well occasionally

Does your new cam use the 3 bolt sprocket or the original 1 bolt piece? As long as you have a 3 bolt cam you can run the distributor timing cover and I think that would look awesome. However I do agree with Atomic about the EFI for a street car.

Is that 2500 for the wiring to make the harness work? or the harness and all of the motor install labor?

I would find a new shop to take it to lol.
