No, not yet. I have most of my parts now. Last week I had a cam spec done. Waiting for it to arrive. After the install I will post dyno results and video.

I actually like the DOD. I can get as much as 23 MPG on the highway ==AVERAGE== That is really good for a V8 truck!!!
The reason for the delete is that I am installing a large lift camshaft. Otherwise it can be turned off with tuning software.

how do you guys with exhaust mods stand the obnoxious noise it makes in 4cyl mode. Ive got a super 44 that was turned out b4 passenger rear tire and recently ran it out the back in hopes of toning down that awful sound. Its a little better but still irritates the **** outta me i know it can be disabled by tune but since im camming it, Ill just get rid of the whole damn thing

Actually I think 99% of your problem is the muffler. I have a Magnaflow and headers and it is not annoying or too loud. There is a slight difference between 4 and 8 cylinder mode. C-mon a super 44 before the axle, that would be obnoxious with any motor....

I have it turned off right now with my hpt, was just wondering if anyone had seen any "real" improvements out of it. I know the lifters being LS7 is a vast improvement, but other than that...

the main reason to disable DOD ' is because our lifters start to quit- right about 6000 rpmīs ' so if ur running a high lift cam ' and all of the sudden one of ur lifters fail right about 6000 -68XX , there goes ur engine.

354 isnt bad...its all in what you wanna pay.
lifters/trays/LS2 dampener is 181
ARP head bolts is 110
ARP crank bolt 35
you need better valve springs/hardened puhrods.

we should make a sticky of whats needed for DOD delete in the Gen IV motors.
cam swap sticky w heads on an off
a converter and servo install

Bump for anyone who needs DOD delete info. Good stuff right here for part numbers as well as part info. Since this is the GMT900 section and the DOD delete is very recommended we should keep this info at the top.
