15k miles on mine and I just got the same damn crack on the passenger side area between the airbag and defrost cover. Gonna be calling the dealership...hopefully they replace it without issues.

 

GM knows that there is a problem and they are working with the customer to handle it. For a while they were replacing the dash for $100. I think they might be replacing them for free now. All you have to do is swing by your dealer and ask.

Mileage is not the reason they are cracking. It has more to due to age and time in direct sun light. My truck is a 07 with 65k miles and it cracked about a month ago.

 

Any news on GM taking care of this? My moms 08 cracked today

 

Mines cracked right above the radio all the way to the window now. Ima call them up tomorrow n see what what happens lol.

 

They replace it for $100, but only if you're the orginal owner.
