I know maybe 1% about tuning the 6L80's honestly, but from what I am aware of the following are some of the parameters that are changed. Although, each book, or tuner, may do it their own way and only use some or none of these items.
TCC pressure: apply ramp, gain, offset
TCC desired slip
TCC apply and release for part and WOT (release timing is an issue I appear to be having)
Torque Mgmt
I believe it is also possible to need to adjust shift points in some cases.

Nice.. I just got my 278mm 3200ish circle D.
Not to hijack the thread but I have a quick question. Im getting my cam put in a week after I do my converter and doing all the tuning the day after the swap. Would it be ok/safe to drive softly for a week on that converter and the efi live tune thats already in my truck? (Not tuned for a converter)??

I did it on my 4l60, even got on it a lil bit without any issues. Obviously it was much better dd quality witht the tune but u get the idea...

Well, the track was packed tonight and I could only get in two passes. Both were spinning some off the line and both missed the 1>2 and 2>3 shifts. For some reason I cannot get the same results with the shifts on the street as I do on the track.
Run #1 12.657 @ 107.60 (60' = 1.844)
Run #2 12.666 @ 106.81 (60' = 1.791)
I think there is a 12.5 in the truck if all things were sorted but I am starting to think the stock trans is the issue for the shifts being missed so badly. Time will tell I suppose.

What do you mean by missed shifts?
