Confused about Blackbear Autocal Tunes

If you want to have a 91/93 octane tune ready to load up whenever you want to head to the track. But want to keep it on a 89oct tune, then the autocal is exactly what you want. You can store both tunes in the autocal, and change them on the fly. If you just want a 89 oct tune all the time and aren't worried about changing anything just get a logged tune. I got a blackbear tune before I found this forum, then a couple years later did my performance mods and sent back in for another tune. I just run 91 oct all the time, so I didn't bother with the autocal, because I don't want to change back and forth between tunes.

I've been dealing with Justin for a while now and am very pleased different truck altogether I went with autocal you get 4 tunes or 4 upgrades, make sure there's no aftermarket plugins to the ECM cause I have a remote starter and it interfered with the flash

When you go with an auto cal. It is locked to that timers flashscan cable serial number meaning that cable will be the only one that is able to modify it. Another tune saved for remote flashing by another cable will not work. That autocal is basically like a locked tune.

If your truck is an 08 then I don't know. Maybe somebody who knows more will speak up. My truck is a 2011 Flex-Fuel, and the system that tests the fuel every time it gets filled up and adapts the tables to match the fuel works perfectly. I've used 92, 89 and E85 since I got the tune, without so much as a hiccup when I switch.

I can say autocal is pretty legit. I am on my 10th tune in a few months trying to adjust for my fast intake and yank and he will keep asking for logs and fine tune whatever you need. You have a problem or concern in the tune he makes every attempt to fix it.

I am also trying to get some upgrades lined up for my truck as well. I am looking to install an TR220 Cam package and a stall from Circle D at the same time. What should I do about getting a tune from him. Before or after? I would prefer after though this is my DD about 1/2 of the week so little down time is preferred.

Hey guys,
I got my tune files from BBP. They sent me 5 files a 87-89OctSport, a 87-89OctTune, a 91+OctSport, a 91+OctTune and the Stocktune file.
When I plug my AutoCal into the truck I have the Option to Prog these files as well as four others named Full 87-89OCtSprt, OctTune, 91+OctSprt and Tune.
Anyone know what the difference in these are??
thanks

I bought the auto cal from him when he came here in Chicago for personal road tunes. Just talking to him in person and picking his brain he deff knows what's up. My truck runs like a raped ape after the tune. He said the auto cal holds up to 8 tunes internally if u but it for $200
