Default Cluster/Hvac swap?

so i just got a new to me 07 2500 suburban LT. it has the very basic gauge cluster DIC (just trip and odometer.) the truck also has the basic analog hvac controls.
my question is can i swap just swap to a higher trim level cluster and have more DIC info (avg mpg, temp, miles till empty ect.) or would i have a ton of wiring to do?
same with getting the fancy digital HVAC to work. just plug and pay or are we looking at a big wiring job?
thanks guys

Check to see if you have the wiring first for the DIC buttons.

Here is the write up.

The HVAC stuff is likely far more complicated because it's tied into the BCM.
