Default 6l80 rebuild or replacement

Well I've drug my feet long enough on getting around to a gear swap and it appears it has at least cost me a TC and possibly a transmission.
Any recommendations which way to go, Im not far from Circle D transmission which seems to have great reviews (and Im guessing is one in the same or sister company to Circle D) torque convertors who Id be reaching out to anyway. Any other companies I should look into for replacement??

You won’t go wrong with anything from Circle D.

However, I will say that it needs to be tuned properly in either stock or built form.

Well dropped it off at circle D yesterday, emailed Chris earlier in the week about a TC if that happens to be an item needing replaced. Kinda leery to do a higher stall with a lifted truck that tows on a regular occasion but seems like the 2600-2800 will do the trick. Just a wait and see on the diagnosis for now.

2800 shouldn't be thst bad. When the trans is installed get a tune and trans cooler upgrade asap, especially considering you tow.

What's the 6l80 going to cost you from them? I'm thinking about getting mine replaced as well

Already have the 40k and tune, will be getting the tune updated though for sure. Probably leaving circle D and heading to get gears swapped prior to tune.

Not sure, yet. Letting them look it over and see what all its going to need and go from there. Any complaints running 4.11's daily? That's my next move.

Other than my gas mileage being around 13mpg not really. I'm the freeway I'm about 23-2400rpm at 70mph

depends on the tire size. Based on the pic, I'd say your 34-35" and at that size I would consider 4.56.
