Default chrome piece on front bumper

Has anyone taken the bumper cover off? I have a dent in the chrome strip and was wondering if I had to take the entire front clip off to replace it.

I think that the center chrome piece can be removed without removing it all, but don't quote me on that.

On a similar note, I was wondering basically the same thing about the side pieces that are painted, I've got a scuffed area on the passenger side of the front bumper that needs to be repainted and was wondering if the entire front bumper had to be removed?

Sorry not trying to ***** up your thread, but the topic was similar.

I will look though, because I know someone on another site that had their center chrome part painted and I don't think he had to remove the entire unit.

i saw a picture of the front bumper cover the other day and it looked like the sides were part of the main clip. That being said, you might have to take the entire piece off. Don;t quote me on that either, lol. I'll see if I can find the picture and post it up

i removed my front bumper, all of it in one piece, in about 5 min with hand tools. and then took the ends off to paint it. i tried to put back on one piece at a time and had much more trouble, so long story short, take it all off then seperate the pieces, just for a side note, dont let the girl-friend drive it with the inner fenders hanging down, they'll get ripped off just as easy as that little black air dam.
