I would go with Pat G as well. $25 bucks is not a lot in the long run and his recommendations are second to none.

It us for a daily driver Silverado CCSB 4.8 2008. Mods in signature. Everyone is recommending long tubes, so I'm trying to figure out what to do with smog since it is illegal and will fail. Once I figure something out then I'm going for it. Also your going to need a retune for it and probably a stall. Circle D 3200. Allot of guys on here are running the 220 cam which works well with 5.3 n long tubes. Hope this helps, I'm sure other people will post some more helpful info since ur truck probably has DOD!
I also have a ccsb 4x2 2wd w/4.8.i have read on here that its not worth camming these motors because anything bigger than stock will make the motor worse than it is stock.and your sig says you run 4:10s,what rpm are you turnning at freeway speeds? I run at 70 mph on i-40 here in ariz.i want to get rid of these damn 3:23s but don't know if i want 3:73 or 4:10.

I will post a video here soon if I still have it. It's with my converter 1/4 throttle on highway, like @ 70 I'm at 2000rpm. And yes I'm highly thinking about going with pat g recommendation, look on here a cam on pur motors with tune and long tubes easily give some good hp, I can't remember when but there have been trucks like ours getting anywhere from 60-100wheel hp with just a cam swap and tune

Well we suck with torque specially with my huge rims, im so temped to sell them on here or trade for a blower or something good. I paid 5300 for my 26's so i will be taking a huge loss, but if its for something that can help the truck im down. As far as cam wise, too big and we overcam it, too small and no gains, thats why ppl do a high stall and a cam that works with it. Also longtubes are a must for our trucks lol. as soon as i do my longtubes i will do my cam kit. anyways, here is the video, its with 4.10's and my converter at 1/4 throttle watch the rpms drop when converter locks up. here it is

yes with my rims 33.20 the stock 3.23 were garbage, acceleration was not there at all. 4.10's made a difference and the converter made an even bigger one
