There isn't an O2 sensor behind the third cat so no tuning should be required. Truck won't know the difference.

You aren't going to gain a significant amount by only deleting the cats. You'll need to decide if the smell and the fact that you cant get a safety sticker is worth it. Since you live in a state that requires emissions testing I would think you'd need the cats to stay legal.

I just deleted the third cat, no sensors around it. I live in a county where they dont check emissions.

I'm not worried about emissions, inspections, or stickers here. My only concern is that my truck only has 600 miles on it. The cat-back won't mess with my warranty. If I go removing cats, I'm sure that it will.

If the factory cats are all in place, the dealer would never question me. That's why I was asking about gutting the 3rd converter without cutting and welding which would be a dead giveaway that the emission system had been screwed with.

Make since?

Yea, I had no intentions of gutting the first 2 that have O2 sensors after them. I have HPTuners and am familiar with the the check engine light and how to kill it but I know that would show up if the dealer ever plugged into the OBD2 port. I did figure that if I could get a (very) slight improvement in exhaust flow and it still look stock for free, I would do it.

If I weren't worried about that, I have a cat-less Y-pipe that would bolt right up sitting in my garage.

My truck has 20k ok it now. Although it still has a lot of warranty left I trust it to not have any problems. Normally they happen nothing the first ten thousand or so anyway.
