Default Cam and Heads HELP!!!

alright, was wondering if a Z06 cam and springs would work in these new model trucks? im not so sure so before i went for it i thought i would ask anyone who knows more than i do about it. What all would i need if it would work pushrods etc? the trucks an 08 4.8L? any help is appreciated. thanks.

yes they would work... the only thing u'd need for the cam install is the gen3 cam gear, the gen4 gears have one hole for the cam where as the gen3 have 3 holes.

other then that, pretty much straight forward swap

alright thanks, where can i get a gen3 cam gear and how much do they cost?

I thought that the GENIV engines got their cam position signal from the cam gear?

what kind of power increase would this net from a 2002 z06 to a 2007 6.0

it's not a good cam for the 6.0

TR224 is a great cam for the 6.0

i think im going to try the z06 cam and GM yellow springs, what kind of power increase would yall think it would make?

update: decided to go with a bigger cam that would be worth the time and effort to put in. was thinking comp 220 or 224 cam with a 112 lsa, and 918 springs and new pushrods, hows that sound?
