Gotta use gm switchs because they have resistors built into them and the tcm recognizes the changing resistance to command a up or down shift. And we are lucky the tcm/ valve body assembly as per gm is the exact same part number from vet to camaro to my 6L80 so our trannys do have the capability. If I don't hit a brick wall re flashing it. If I do I'm sure we could do a segment swap on HP tuners.

Why wouldnt you easily be able to wire it up to the stock switch on the shifter for the up/down?

Ok cool I'll try and order a shifter with the paddle shir and take it apart. Maybe I can move the factory switch to these paddles and go from there. Same resistance just with a bigger paddle. Think that will work?

Because the paddle shifters have resistors built into them the TCM recognizes and can tell left paddle from right paddle.

The shifter on our trucks is just a N/O switch contact that goes NC when you push it and the bcm recognizes the change in state of the switch position.

What about switching the wires from the manual shift on the column to the
stereo volume up/down on an Ltz s/wheel.

Feasible??

This would be similar to the 2012+ Impalas, they have a set of buttons on the opposite side of the wheel for the tap up/tap down.

When did the Corvette get Global A programming? I was under the impression that the 2010 Camaro debuted the Global A electronics in the US.

Not going to happen using a flash and simply changing switchs. You may be able to do it using hp tuners if you can isolate the tu/td programming and sub in the vette segment. Then it will talk to everything in our trucks like it's supposed and have the switchs.

With the vette flash in the TCM my truck acted like the retarded kid in the corner banging his head on the wall and slobbering constantly and the IPC looked like a 70's pinball machine.

But the tu/td switchs wired up in a temporary form did work according to my tech 2.
