Default Anyone Installed Aftermarket Big Brake Kits? Show Pics Please

I have a 2011 Silverado 1500 6.2 2wd crew cab and want to install large powder coated calipers and rotors without breaking the bank. I'm hoping someone may offer a retrofit kit utilizing Corvette C6 ZO6 6 piston calipers in front with the 4 piston rears. It would require caliper brackets and larger diameter rotors.

Anyone have any suggestions???

There have been quite a few that have done the front Z06 swap already on the GMT900 series vehicles already. If you have stock spindles and disc in the rear its a pretty easy upgrade. Only slight trimming of the rear dust shield is necessary. The fronts bolt right up. If you have rear drums, you have to swap to the factory disc e-brake setup unless you don't mind losing your e-brake.

I ended up buying the Baer "Eradispeed +1" kit on Auto anything for less than $500. I needed front rotors, so I figured I might as well get something a little bigger while I was at it. These things look pretty good, use the factory calipers on spacers, and were not priced too bad. I guess they work better, but I really don't take the truck to the track or anything. Anyway, check them out.

The rotor is 15", but is pretty dang heavy at 30.5lbs. The used stockers were 24lbs if I remember correctly.

the issue with drilled is the spider web and risk breaking off with an extreme life of braking.
idk about those rotors though but thats my only concern.
i roll oem dimple and slotted rotors. very aggressive stopping power but i think its time to look.into a bigger set for the future if i keep racing this brick

Baers slotted and cross drilled rotors/kits have been around for a while. They are the rotors used for the Z06 caliper upgrade and more than a few guys that have done the swap. I've only heard of a few people having issues and they were both most likely caused from using an impact gun to over tighten the lugs and warped the rotors. Now I'm not saying that the cross drilling can't or won't cause an issue. I know cross drilling can cause stress points and cracking, but it isn't as common as a problem as some make it out to be from what I've seen. If it was I doubt anyone would continue to selling them.
