Default Any Ideas on P0430 Permanent

Installed Kooks LT's with a catted Y. Retuned for headers truck runs fine. Few days go by then pops a 430. Cleared the code couple of times. It comes back in just a couple hours of driving. Never a 420 just a 430. Now when I scan for the codes the scanner has a line at the bottom that says permanent. Now I cannot clear the code. I can unhook the battery and get the cel to turn off but when I scan the edu the code is still there with permanent on it. Blackbear has sent a new file to turn the reporting off but would like to get to the bottom of this permanent issue. Any ideas. Btw truck is running just fine.

Same thing happened to me running OBX LT's with cats. The reason for the error is the cats are not as efficient at cleaning as the stock ones so it throws those codes. I got both P0420 and P0430. My tuner diablew just tuned the codes out and have never appeared since.

Then it's not set correctly in the tune.

Sorry, I was not clear. I have the file to turn off the reporting but I have not flashed it yet. I wanted to completely clear the code before the I flashed the ecu with the new file. Or will the new file erase it completely?

It will likely just shut it off.

Thats how it works with HPT.
