Default another drop question , <<

alright i been seatching and i havent found the answer im looking for , ...

i got a rcsb and the back is too damn high , .... and before anyone tells me to get a 4/6 drop , i cant because i use my truck for what it was made to be doing , right now as i type this , it has 2,400 pounds in the bed ... so i cant do a big drop

i got the 2"drop shackles and some ppl have been telling me to take the rear block out , and some ppl tell me DONT TAKE IT OUT , ... being that i use my truck and i put weight in it , is it a really bad idea to take out the rear block ?

i just want the truck to sit level , and i think just the shackles arent gonna make enough diffrence to even install now ???

can anyone with a nnbs rcsb with just the drop shackles/rear block out post up some pics ?

oh and if ur looking at my sig , , thats the magic of photoshop, lmao my truck is stock ride height

i would say go ahead and take the rear block out but i would get some helper bags since you still use it.
that way when it is unloaded it will have the leveled look that you want but when you need to put stuff int he bed you can air up those bags to raise the rear.

btw, i know curtis (can't remember his username) had some pics from when me and eric helped him install his lowering shackles and removed the rear block.

Nick, you've seen my truck. It has 2" drop shackles and the rear block removed. I'd say remove the block, besides it will make it much easier to remove the shackle by removing the u-bolts at the block anyways.

Here's some pics.

I need to clean her up and take some new pics, got the lower air dam back on and painted mirror caps I bought from you, and my Z71 emblem on the tailgate. LOL. trying to add a few things here and there.

The rear on mine still sits about 1" higher than the front. So you should be fine. I'd like to figure out a way to get the rear of mine down 1 more inch. I can't go too low cause I still have to take my truck to job sites from time to time.

I would take the block out first. Then look at a set of hangers. OR just front hangers alone. I dont think the aftermarket shackles are rated for any kind of weight.

Here a couple pics of mine with a Belltech shackle and the block taken out. Probably not the best pictures to compare to though. I'm no expert, but I think you could likely get away with about a 3/5 drop with some air bags in back.

My truck is now lowered 4/7 however.
