Default Air Intake 2007 NNBS?

Well traded-in my 04 GMC yesterday for a NNBS 2007 RCSB 2WD Z71. I just got out this morning and swapped in the True-Flow drop in filter into the stock box, same setup I was using on the GMC. Was going to see if the Air Aid Intake Tube would work also, but man there is a maze of baffles on the stock tube. There is a long narrow baffle that runs underneathe the engine cover all the way to the back of the intake manifold and stops. About mid-way back there is a hose line that runs in plugs into a grommet in that baffle. I assume that this is some sort of a vaccum line.

I haven't seen any of the other intake systems for these new trucks. so I didn't know if that was a needed thing or what, so I just left it alone for now, but would really like to get that snaking *** intake tube off the truck, I KNOW that thing is restrictive as hell.

Check out the AEM. I looked at their site and there install instructions show a nice looking product. It is the best looking I have found yet. Air raid may be a good choice also if they have they tube ready.

I really like the AFE, but man I have issues spending that much $$$$ for just an intake. I would go with the true-flow if they were still using the composite tube, I think they are using an aluminum one now. just not sure how that is for heat disappation.

the volant has a ram air effect without any tubes. the hole in the front of the box fits perfect between the headlight bucket and the rad support. just cut a hole in the flap between the two and it takes its air through the grille.

We're been getting alot of requests for inductions for the new 2007 Trucks and SUVs so here is a quick list of what is available -

DUB

Volant

Outlaw

Airaid

K+N

VaraRam

DUB and Volant tend to be the most popular. The rest of the pack follows pretty close to them. More info and pricing can be seen on our website.

Have a good day!

Tom, any idea if Air Aid is going to be selling just the MIT like they do for the other models soon?
