Aftermarket valve covers?

Aftermarket valve covers?
So I scored a nice set of fabbed 3inch tall polished aluminum valve covers off someone. I installed them but dang! My valvetrain is twice as loud with them installed. Anyone have the same issues or any remedies I can try?
