Default 8 lug conversion?? From 6 lug to 8 lug***

Sounds really stupid, but has anyone ever done this to their 1500? I was considering doing this because I have an obsession with the new 2011-2011 Denali HD 20" wheels... Not looking into the wheel adapters either. I've read on a couple different forums that I need a whole new axle, and something about a 14 bolt?? Forgive me for me newbness..

In reality, I would just like a list of all the parts I need to do the 8 lug conversion. I think it would sick with a drop and those 20"s..

These are the wheels: Chopped.

Older 8 lug axles have different bolt pattern. I have an 04 2500hd. I LOVE those wheels and want them pretty bad. However I think the conversion including front hubs and whole rear axle assembly is likely to be too expensive. Adapters are out of the question for me.

Those wheels look way bigger than 20" in the Chop. Would be sicc if someone produced them in a bigger 6 lug version.

The photoshop does make them look a lot bigger than they are. If you torqued and lock tighted the adapters on a 6 lug it would be ok. I am not sure about the 8 lug although it has been done. The stinking tires cost over a grand. A take off set on ebay right now is 1750.00

2 Grand to swap. For two grand .. . for me air helper bags, tow mirrors, and a viper alarm with some cash left over is a better investment.

Yeah in that chopped picture it would probably equal out to 24s, which I'm personally not a fan of. I love the look of 20s so in my situation I think it'll still look pretty damn good. Don't really care how much the wheels are, still going to buy them regardless if they were expensive or not.

As far as the wheel adapters go, I've considered it since I've ran 2" wheel spacers on my other truck. But now that I think about it, arn't wheel adapters two piece when it comes to converting lugs??? That''s the most part that I'm really iffy about. I don't do any racing, mud riding, or rag on my truck. I just travel a lot from work. I drive an hour away from home about three days in the week.. So would I be alright??
