Yeah it will be getting a 40k cooler with a 10.5" triple disk. I really only tow 5,000+ a few times a year and as long as I keep the trans temps down I should be fine. Just wondering if 3200-3400 is too much or if I should go with that 3000-3200. Talked to chris at Circle D he said a 3200-3400 is fine. I realize its not much of a difference but I want to keep as much towing as i can while smoking the old lady's Audi A4 (she thinks its faster than my truck).

Like they said get a big trans cooler and you will be fine! Towing with my 3500 stall isn't that bad, I just give it a bit more throttle to get moving to about 35mph then the converter locks and from there it's like stock pulling! The most I've towed was about 10,200lbs for about 40 miles and everything was fine. Also tow my camper (7k+) hundreds of miles a year, along with a trailer behind it with a ATV's on it. Doing a burnout with the excavator from RSC equipment rentals on trailer in front of their shop was awsome to cause they said my truck wouldn't pull good cause it's a gas burner!

Picked up 2 gallons of synthetic ATF fluid for the swap, is that enough? Read 6 quarts for a flush but with converter coming out, trans cooler going in, I figure I would need 8 at least. Also picked up a drain plug I plan to install in the pan, anyone done a drain plug on a trans? Pics? Lastly on the trans filter and gasket, has anyone reused the stock gasket? Tech told me to reuse it, still think its best to replace.
