this thread deals with GMT900 trucks only...you'll want to start a new thread in a different section for help with your truck.

since I HAVE DONE THE SWAP...... its basically a strait swap deal. as long as ur using the l92 truck intake ,everything will be a direct swap. oh yeah .. just make sure u have your fuel rails from the l92. they bolt up differently .the tabs are on the outside instead of the inside....

so if its a straight engine swap all you would need is the L92, the intake, and the fuel rails, plus a tune and you'll be good to go?
is that all there is to it?

On the 07's there are two different pump setups. One has a pump module at the back and one does not, if the truck does NOT have the module the swap will get a little uglier as the 6.2/6L80 needs that to run properly apparently. Daryn C might have more info on this?

Not sure on the 08's but the 09's all have the same fuel system afaik so they are good to go.

UPDATE ON INFO:
All the 07s have the module except for the LMG (flexfuel) 5.3, the LC9 aluminum block 5.3 (believe that was ext/crew only) and the LY6 6.0L (not avail in reg cab). Same for the 2008 model year. ALSO, the only engine in 2009 model year to NOT use the fuel control module is the LY6 6.0L engine with VIN digit "K". Hope that helps.

very interesting and thanks for the info. ive got an 08 4.8 so i guess id be clear from that. as far as daryn, i believe hes got a 4l60 in his truck not the 6l80. whats the word on these 6 spds now? are they strong like the 4l80? how about converting to 2wd since most i see are from 4x4
