I've been averaging 13.3 city and I have a tendancy to drive like a 16yrold.
My truck has a tick over 7k on it. With my 1st tune I was averaging 15mpg city 20+ freeway, That was a custom tune off a handheld. Now with a dyno tune i'm a few less but i bought my truck to drive it like i stole it.
You also have to keep in mind everyones "city driving" if different!

Roger that - and so does a bunch of short trips starting with a cold motor, compared to the same number of miles in one trip.

I'll probably do a muffler delete (or maybe a 3.5" Cherry Bomb), a drop-in K&N, a tonneau and a tune within the next several weeks so we'll see where my mileage falls after that, but I certainly don't drive my truck like a granny

thanks for all the replies. i got the truck out on the highway for a while today and now i'm sitting at an average of 17. i know window stickers are not a promise of fuel mileage but should be somewhere in that ball park. i was just a bit concerned with my purchase after seeing the 11!

Don't watch that Gauge, just do it the old fashion way and figure it up at the pump after a tank full of gas, can't go wrong that way =)

oh i will. just trying it with the gauge first before i fill up. in my past experience the gauge is very accurate. i've had 3 trucks with the avg. mpg display and all have been with in 3/10. i'm no stranger to full size gm trucks. i've had 23 vehicles and 13 have been silverado/sierra all in my 29 years.

Yeah mine has been accurate to .1 mpgs since I got the truck.

Hey JAVI, can you post a clip with the extreme? 6.2 or 5.3? Did you leave the resonator? How much louder is it over stock? I was going to do a 3.5" Cherry Bomb bullet ($35) and use 3.5" stock to fill the rest of the void. My wife doesn't want it to be completely mufflerless but it's SO quiet for a 403-horse truck! I need a more noise so that was my original plan: delete the muff completely.

i would have to make a clip.. its a 5.3 with everything still on it.. cats, res,, etc.. dualed out tucked behind my rear wheels. sounds great.. and when u get on it u are gonna hear it.. its alot louder than stock... but not annoying imo.. everyone that rides in my truck say its perfect..
