As I understand it there are 3 types of transfer cases on these trucks; the manual shift and electric shift non-auto 4wd, the electric shift auto 4wd, and the full time non-selectable awd cases.
The 60/40 applies to the awd cases. I am least familiar with the auto 4wd cases as mine is a manual.

Thanks, Here's my thing I am planning on running a D1 Procharged NNBS 5.3L at around 12lbs then spray a 75 shot once I hit 2nd gear. WHen launching these 4x4s at what speeds does it go to 2wd? Or will it stay 4x4? Sorry for the retarded question I just never owned a 4x4 before lol

The answer is to just leave it in 4x4 the entire pass. Yes it will cost you a couple mph, but that's the price of traction I guess.
Also, the AWD t-cases have chains too. If traction is even, they split the tq 50/50. There's a big writeup somewhere about how the NVG149 internals work, but that's not what this thread is about, and you won't find that t-case in a GMT900 anyways.
