Hahaha. Been there done that. Obviously you dont know me Went through about 7 trannys and a few more converters in the 2000. Dont forget it was a 4x4

 

on your long tube headers did you use any kind of flange on the headers for the collector flanges

 

Nope Mine had been cut on once or twice, and my ORY had been cut a few times. I cleaned the headers up, slid a 3"ODx3"ID coupling over the collector and welded it on, then used a 3"OD coupling on the Y pipe and have it held together with Band clamps
