sorry to the OP for getting off topic but they are extremely light. 24 lbs or so? i forget... for sure lighter then the stock 17's the truck comes with though. you may not have to do a notch. i have one on my truck but ive got a long bed and the frame is a little taller over the axle and its got a little more weight back there. i had only an inch or so of travel and id slam the frame dozens of times every time i went somewhere. got to the point that bed side welds broke and had to notch it. in the past year ive only hit twice now and thats with a full tank of gas someone in there with me and a bed full of steel tube and plate
