Default 2009 v6 to v8 swap

I have a 2009 v6 rcsb silverado that im wanting to swap to a v8. I found an lm7 5.3 for dirt cheap and from what ive read, the differences arent much. But i cant find alot of Info. Id be doing performance mods to it so difference in power isnt an issue. What would need to be done to make it work. Its a 2001 5.3 going into a 2009 v6 truck.

Thanks for the help!

I dont think the fuse box is the same lay out as a gen 3 truck. So i'd guess you would need to get a gen 4 pullout with harness, ecm, tcm, ac parts.

You might be able to do a stand alone gen 3 harness haven't looked too deep into the gmt900 v6 to v8 swaps yet.

Does the 07+ trucks use the same pcm and tcm as the v8 trucks?
If so you'll need an 07+ motor with the 58t reluctor wheel.

^^^ see that's what i am wondering also. Yet i know the fuse box is exactly the same as the V8 models. I just don't know about the harness setup.
