New trucks are throw away garbage can trucks. They are cheaply constructed high price vehicles not designed to go the distance or have the built in quality of gm vehicles of yesterday.

My 07 cracked. The Chevy dealer had one in stock. I got it for $330 out the door with a discount through my work. It's pretty easy to replace. The dash doesn't have to come all the way out. I think it took me about 2hrs or so. Most of the time was spent dealing with my aftermarket radio was wiring

True that. My 2000 Silverado has 14 years here in FL, in the sun with no issues. I have a 2007 as well...no I WILL WORRY

My 2013 denali was cracked in 2 places. it had 23k miles when I bought it, noticed the cracks a week later. Took it over Sterling McCall GMC and they fixed it under warranty. Good people over there.
