Default 2006 17" W/T wheels on 2011 silverado with pressure sensor 20" wheels??

Can it be done? My buddy is wanting a set of 2006 work truck 17's for winter wheels on his 2011 silverado, which has factory 20's with air pressure sensors. He doesn't really want to remove the sensors and swap then. Will this cause a issue? Will there be a beep or buzzer go off continuously?

No annoying beeping like a seatbelt chime or anything?

No, it dings like once when it displays the service tire monitor message. Light on dash flashes a bit then stays on. Basically it does the same thing when the air pressure is low. My rear rims don't have monitors in them a) because they are 15x10's and b) I only keep 20psi max in them.
