there are kits though from belltech that provide the 2" shackles and spacers for the u-bolts so you can pull the block for a total of 3" drop... that's probably what you're referring to.
exactly, these right here are the ones: 3" shackle kit

there is a note that says to get the 3" drop, you must remove the rear block.

i have seen other kits being sold that claim a 3" rear drop without removing the block.

i am really just looking for a definitive answer. if i install the 2" shackles, pull the block, and remove the overload spring, i will have a 4" drop in the rear (or very close)?

I have seen numerous people at 4'' with shackles blocks out and over load removed

the 3" drop shackles are just a gimmick. they are just 2" drop shackles then you remove the block.

well, since i already have the block out, i'll just throw the 2" kit on and pull the overload spring. wherever it sits is where its going to stay.

my truck is a sclb 4wd, it doesn't need more drop than a 2/4.

i'm hoping to get it dropped this weekend, but i'm not sure if i'll have the time. i will take some pics and post them when i get it done.

also, it may be raining all weekend where i'm at, and i have to work in my driveway because the 2-car garage is full of parts, an atv, a riding mower, and assorted junk.

put the snow tires on yesterday and noticed they still hit. I trimmed my bump stops so i had 1 1/2" spacing when I did the drop but they still hit just going down the road. Whats the stock spacing?
