Default 18's to 16's! Will it help?

I am running the chevy factory 18's with the factory tires. If i go to a 16 inch wheel and get the same size tires, 265/65/18 to 285/70/16. Since there is more rubber will it weigh more or less since there is less wheel?

I don't think it will make a difference. Keep what ya got. I don't believe 16s will fit either but if you want to swap I'll trade ya my 90% 295/70R17s on stock 17" rims.

I had factory 18s with a 29"tire and went to factory 17s with 30-1/2", and my truck felt much lighter and faster with the smaller tire. So what i would recomend is getting a smaller tire.

so you went up 1.5 inch in tire diameter and 2 inches in wheel. See i just wonder if going down two inches and staying the same size in tire diameter would help or stay the same

If you have rear disc brakes than they may not fit. Just look for the lightest possible wheel. Centerline makes a 22 lbs 18".
