Ordered headers for my 13 5.3.Went w obx and when i opened box i notice the y pipe flange isnt ball and socket type.Now i havent ordered exhaust yet so should i go with a 07-10 nnbs exhaust or is there a place i can order an extension that mates to y pipe flange to ball and socket?
They are obx headers w resonators for 07+silverado

 

My ARH's came with an adapter ball flange piece but I had to ask for it (its also 3.5" so its a little bigger thank yours i believe) If your not worried about finding an off the shelf solution maybe a vband swap would be a nice fix? You could order a catback for a newer truck or search the classifieds for stock exhaust to hack up and use so that your not cutting your factory stuff apart.

 

Does your truck have a ball and socket? I thought 09+ had a 3rd cat and v band style y flange

yes it had the third cat and it looks like a ball and socket with a clamp not a flange to flange
