Oh an btw man.. I dont mean to seem lazy.. But I just noticed your thread on the trans swap.. And when i started doing it I think on other person had done it and I talked to him some and he helped me with the parts and stuff.. Is there anything that you ran into with the swap that might help me? I am going to still read your post I just wondering if you had any cliff notes or anything for me.. The turner seems to be worried about my pcm talking to the trans since the one I have is set up for a 6l80e not 90e.. I am hoping they are not different.

Ls9 is already in it. Most of the stuff has been done already.. Other than Finishing up the turbo piping, exhaust system from the down pipe, meth kit install, new wiring harness for 6l90e swap, heat wrap stuff, gauges and other little odds and ends.

I called speartech.. He wasnt what I would call nice or helpful.. So I bought a harness from a salvage yard of a truck just like mine but with the 6l80e trans. It ended up coming with the pcm as well so I might of lucked out im not sure.. I was going to get it from gm.. However they told me harnesses are made to order and they couldnt tell me how long it would take... Said one time it took close to a year.. I hate waiting.. So I went the salvage yard route which took awhile to find one to fit my needs..

if you found one for a 5.3/6spd or 6.2/6spd its i direct swap in minus a few sensor maybe. the ecm if already known to have a 6spd should just pop up with the 6spd already. the tune should be done with efi live so you can keep yout stock vin number imo.

I read through most of your thread.. Good stuff..

Bluecat is an HP tuner guy Im pretty sure. Plus I already have Hp tuners and credits .. I hope I can do it with that. The harness and pcm are from a truck like mine only it was extended cab or cc.. So 5.3 flex fuel with 6l80e. Hopefully there isnt any differences with the 6l90e vs the 6l80e in the tcm so it will work.

I am only going to be able to use P N R D correct? As I dont have the dash, cluster, or shifter from a 6l80e or 6l80e truck. Do I need them if I dont want to manually select gears? Any Idea on the cost of all those parts and the reprogramming inside?

the shifter can be left alone. also you have to extend your shifter bracket a 1/2" to still use the 60e shifter cable. the bcm must control the manual buttons but im not sure of that yet. also as far as the manual mod you can pull it into 3rd an it will hold that gear youre in. i dont know the price of any of it, i got my parts pretty much with my transmission.
