I was able to score an '08 crew cab with a 5.3ltr with 6k miles on it 2 weeks ago. I ended up selling my 01 sierra ext cab on craigslist in 15 min. I missed my exhaust sound on my old truck and was able to score a set of dynatech headers(jethot coated) w/ cats and y pipe and a corsa touring catback locally for a 1/3 of the price if bought new.

I'm installing the corsa tomorrow. Headers have to wait till I have time. Can I run both with the stock tuning for a little bit until I can afford a tune without hurting anything? How much low end am I going to loose with this setup? Will I be able to feel a difference with each installed?

The only other things I'll be adding to the truck is a tune, underdrive pulleys, lower thermostat 180degreeish, and a CAI. I'm hoping to get to 300hp at the rear will this bring me close?

They were asking $23900 and that is what I gave them. I my dad has a friend that has been a wholesaler for at least 25 years and he told me to buy the truck if I didn't he would. It is an LT2 with everything except nav and memory seating. An older gentleman bought it new for his wife and she was scared to drive it and wanted something smaller. The sticker on the truck was $36k. I'm ecstatic and my notes are exactly where my wife and I agreed for them to be.
