? will a nbs intake and throttle body bolt up 2 my 06 lq9? what ive seen on the nbs it has trailblazer ss style intake manifold with a 90mm throttlebody.if possible i beleive it could be a good upgrade what do u guys think?

 

I'm not for sure....but I'll call GM and ask the TECH LINE what they think. I'll repost the info I find.

 

I believe the 4.8L and 5.3L intake might work, but not the 6.0L intake.

 

yeh thats what i mean the 07 nnbs 5.3 intake on a 06 lq9.benefits r a truck intake with a 90 mm throttle body. beleive it woild be a good gain.

...one thing that should be done is to verify if the NBS TB is the same part number as the TBSS or SSR TB. Last I heard the TBSS/SSR TB had the same/similar signal characterisitcs as the LS2 Vette/GTO TB. I could NOT get an LS2 TB to work in my 06 truck when I tried. DrX has since come out with an adaptor harness that MIGHT let the LS2 (or TBSS) TB work on our year truck. FWIW, GM changed the foot pedals and TAC modules for 06... at least they did on the half ton trucks. The foot pedal is the main reason I could not get the LS2 TB to work right on my truck. I tried an older foot pedal with an 01 TAC and my PCM did not like it. Bottom line is just because it bolts up or plugs in doesn't mean it will work. Also... I have seen TBSS/SSR intake manifolds on ebay for as little as $10 from folks upgrading to Magnuson's...
