I know these are popular by now and there's probably some out there with a bunch of miles. Mine just turned 50K last week. I know the oil pressure on this thing makes me nervous as hell after driving GEN III's for so long that idle at 40+ psi and cruise at 60+. This thing idles at about 25 and cruises about 35-40. I know this is "plenty" but I still dont like it I guess. I did the first oil change on it (since I've owned it) yesterday. The oil change light finally cam on after 8K. and went back with a WIX filter as always and went to Chevron15w-40 Diesel oil like I have always put in everything else. Seemed to help a bit but I know after this starts to break down, it'll probably go right back to where it was.
I know after the powertrain warranty is up next summer the AFM system is getting deleted and it'll get some kind of small cam. Same goes for the 60E, if it ***** on me out of warranty, I'm building an 80E for it and never looking back... The wife drives this thing 50-60miles a day and I have to have it dead reliable. We all know the track record of the 60/65/70E trans... after towing 6,000lbs a few times with it, its already shifting erratically at times
anyway, guys with this powerplant, post up your experiences with it.

Could be error in the factory gauge .Not sure if there is a PID to log oil psi with HP or EFI Live ??
I wouldnt worry, its gonna last a long time.
When you do the cam , put in a different pump or at least a new O ring, might make a diff in pressure your looking for .

I dont doubt there's a certain amount of error in the stock cluster. Just being in the dealership loop I have heard horror stories since these things launched. Lifters taking a dump, taking out the camshaft, sending debris thru the oil pump and the whole system, loss of oil pressure, spun bearings, cooked shortblocks..... If turning it off in the tune alone would work then I'd just do that but the problem is the lifter design itself apparently. Proven LS7 Lifters, the correct pushrods (if the cup is a different height from the roller) some sort of OEM spring like an LS3/LS9, and a very small aftermarket cam. I've even considered using the stock cam and springs out of my 6.2 sitting on the stand since they're FREE. One way or the other, the system will be gone once its out of warranty.
