in 07 and 08 some trucks had a fuel module on the databus and others did not. All the 6.2's had the module, so if you don't might take some extra work to have that 6.2/6L80running properly. Its all over the board with he 6.2/6L80 swap so search that. I posted wiring diagrams, etc.

I wouldnt worry about them they are the same standard LS2/LS7 lifter that comes in all other LS engines. The only lifters that are dicey are the ones that come with AFM as they are a completely different animal. Even with AFM its only four of the lifters that need to be changed the other ones are good to go.

well everything ive read on the lifters they're not the same as LS7 an they are only rated to 5900rpm. i have yet to find a pn for the L92 lifters, in all my searches ive done for pn no one can give a pn.

i changed mine anyways bc i know the LS7 lifters will handle the 6300 all day long

Where are you getting this information from about the L92 lifters?

While I am curious I find this very unlikely. According to many engine builders and GM parts suppliers who post regularly over at LS1tech they are all the same. Until i see otherwise Im running them and Im far from alone here. GMhightech did some articles on recent L92 cam swaps and they ran the stockers... So does MAST performance and their engines come with waranty.

I think you've been fed a line of crap unfortunately.

As for RPM ratings? Seeing as the LS7 stock redline is 7100 RPM I think we're good to go dont you?

While I appreciate that info it doesnt mean the lifters are RPM limited. I was referring to the lifters themselves specifically where did you see they were RPM rated? Why are they not a different PN?

Again if it helps you sleep better at night to change them then by all means go for it but I see nothing in that info that tells me these lifters have issues. In fact even the original series LS1 lifters were fine and these are the third series update IIRC. Most "failures" are caused by crapola workmanship anyways and not the parts themselves.

AFAIK...All L92's come with the VVT (cam phaser), Some L92 and L76 motors also have the AFM (Active Fuel Management which cuts out 4 cylinders during part throttle/light load cruising)...mine did anyways. When you pull the intake off, look at the valley cover. If it's flat...you've got the regular LS2, LS3, LS7 lifters and trays. If it's got a raised pattern that looks like a maze...it means you have one with AFM and you need to swap the valley cover, lifters, and lifter trays for the regular LS2/LS3 lifters, guides, and valley cover.
Pulled this from this thread linked below. Not saying this means its a certain fact but its as relative as your post. I bumped the thread that I linked earlier with specific questions regarding the stock L92 lifter as well so hopefully something comes up there.

For the record I just want to know for certain what the deal is. I dont like mystery engine bits... nor do I like changing parts that dont need changing

I think you meant lifters on 4 cylinders, so 8 lifters total as both int and exh collapse in V4 mode.
