I went through 2 delcos before i added a second alternator. I got myself a dc power 400amp alt with the bracket for around $800. Lifetime warranty. 5 duralast platinum batts and they have been going strong for 1.5 years. These nnbs trucks are very power hungry, and the stock alt is very low in output. Its 160amps at around 2500 rpm so at idle ur only seing about 80amps

the duracell # i installed is AGM48 interstate would be my 2nd choice. ive always been weary of duracells because they dont seem to last in remote controls, and various things of that nature BUT we havent had to warrenty a duracell car battery out of the 2 years weve been selling them so i figured id give the car battery a shot, cranks up right away on even the coldest mornings. napa, energizer, walmart, duralast batteries are pure junk.

Duralast is the best lead acid on the market when you consider warranty and availability, but you're going to keep eating them if you don't solve the problem.

Ive ran this battery in two trucks so far, actually had the same battery in my Silverado for a year when I traded it in for my new tahoe and had them swap the batteries.

Just get the biggest AGM/highest CCA you can fit in there.

If you have the coin, the Die Hard platinum batteries are supposed to be rebadged Odysseys also.

I'm glad you've had good luck with their batteries, I sure haven't. I've had to replace two brand new ones within a month or so of buying them (two different vehicles with perfectly good charging systems). They did replace them both with no hassle at all, and I admire that kind of customer service, but I won't buy their batteries ever again.

I have an Interstate gel cell in my truck right now. I had a lot of trouble with the Energizer that was in it before but I think it was because of the interface that's required with an aftermarket deck. Damn thing had an orange led that was CONSTANTLY on, even if the truck was off. My old battery was toast, replaced it with the Interstate, and I still had problems until I put the stock deck back in. (I hated my Clarion). With the stock deck now it cranks waaaay faster on cold mornings.
