Like anything, some people don't like it or are more comfortable with NOS or NX offerings.

In the past the ZEX controller reliability was called into question, but I haven't seen this in the past 2 years or so.

In my opinion it is one of the easiest to intall, use, and live with systems. For a DD packing a nasty surprise it's hard to beat for cost and being fairly idiot proof.

They used to offer other colors besides that crazy purple, that might be worth looking into if you're not keen on purple.

I had the ZEX kit and despite being very basic (no purge, bottle warmer, or blow down tube for the track) it was excellent. extremely easy install, great price, and very effective. And i kinda like the purple.

I had the Zex kit on my Z28, and I loved it. Easy to use, easy to install. I now have discovered that I really like the NOS Brand, dry-shot kit.
